Sue Fagalde Lick spent many years as a journalist in California’s Bay

Area before escaping to Oregon. She earned her MFA at Antioch University–Los Angeles and has published ten books of prose, including Stories Grandma Never Told, Shoes Full of Sand, Childless by Marriage, Love or Children: When You Can’t Have Both, and the novels Up Beaver Creek and Seal Rock Sound. She has also published two poetry chapbooks, Gravel Road Ahead, and The Widow at the Piano: Poems by a Distracted Catholic.  See her book page for details.
